Rebecca Goodman

Finance Journalist

Rebecca is an award-winning freelance journalist who specialises in consumer topics including insurance, investments, and household bills. After completing a BA in American and English history at the University of East Anglia, which included a year living in San Francisco, she went on to study newspaper journalism at Cardiff University.

Rebecca has worked in the personal finance space for the last 10 years, having previously been a staff writer at MoneySavingExpert and ThisisMoney. Her work now is featured across many national newspapers including the Independent, The Sun, The Guardian and The Mail on Sunday along with several specialist publications.

Rebecca’s work is driven by her desire to help people to make their money work harder. Her aim through her writing is to break down complicated financial issues and jargon into easy-to-understand topics so everyone can learn how to take control of their finances. Alongside her journalism, Rebecca lives in Cambridgeshire with her two young daughters and husband and in her spare time she runs her own postal baking business.

Rebecca says:

“I’m passionate about making financial matters accessible to more people to give them the information they need to make better decisions about their money. That financial education is liberating and can give people the tools they need to take control of their money and to make it work harder for them.”
