Popular Pet Insurance FAQs
Is my pet eligible for John Lewis Pet Insurance?
If your cat or dog is at least 8 weeks old, they could be eligible for John Lewis Pet Insurance.
There’s no upper age limit, but there could be other circumstances where they couldn’t be covered.
Once you've taken out a policy, you’re not able to claim for vet fees as a result of an accident in the first 48 hours. You also can't claim for any changes in your pet's health or behaviour in the first 14 days of cover.
Does pet insurance cover vaccinations?
Pet insurance doesn’t usually cover vaccinations as they are considered to be routine. It’s important to keep your pet’s vaccinations up to date for their own safety. If your pet becomes unwell and needs treatment because they have missed a vaccination, you may not be able to make a claim.
Does pet insurance cover neutering?
Pet insurance doesn’t typically cover the cost of neutering because it’s a preventative treatment.
