Allocation of payments

If the amount you pay in a month is less than the full amount you owe, we will apply the amount you pay in the following order:
A) any unpaid arrears or amounts over the credit limit;
B) the amount you owe us and shown in your statement;
C) any transactions, interest or charges not yet included in a statement.

We will apply your payment first to amounts on your account which we charge at the highest interest rate followed by amounts we charged at lower rates. In each case, interest and charges are paid off first.

If some amounts are charged at the same interest rate, we will apply your payment to the oldest amounts first.

Minimum repayment

The minimum payment will be the higher of:
A) The sum of (a) interest for the period from the last statement, (b) any default charges, and (c) 1% of the full amount you owe as shown on your monthly statement (not including interest and default charges).
B) 3% of the full amount you owe as shown on your monthly statement (including interest and charges).
C) £5.

If you owe less than £5, you must pay the full amount you owe.

Recurring transaction

A recurring transaction, sometimes called a continuous payment authority, is a series of payments collected with your agreement from your card by a retailer or supplier (for example, insurance cover). This agreement is between you and the retailer. The Direct Debit Guarantee does not cover these transactions.

1. These Offer Terms and Conditions (the 'Offer Terms') are an agreement between you and us and apply when you apply for a Partnership Card (the 'Card'). They apply in addition to and should be read together with the Partnership Card Terms and Conditions and Reward Programme Rules. In the event of any conflict, these Offer Terms will apply.

2. In these Offer Terms, "we" or "us" means John Lewis Financial Services Limited, 8 Canada Square, London, E14 5HQ.

 

Eligibility for the Bonus Points offer (the 'Offer')

3. You will be eligible for the Offer if:

You successfully apply for a Partnership Card on or after 4 January 2018;

The card (or any additional card on your account) is used to make purchases or you transfer a balance to your account, in either case to a minimum value of £500, within 90 days of account opening;   

You are not an existing Partnership Card cardholder and haven’t held a Partnership Card within the six months prior to your application.  

4. Purchases subsequently refunded, cash withdrawals or cash related payments, interest, fees and charges will not count towards the £500 qualifying spend for the purposes of the Offer.

5. We cannot process balance transfers from all cards. A 2.9% balance transfer fee (min £5) will be charged for each balance transferred.

Bonus Points

6. The 1,000 bonus points will be awarded to your account within one month of your making the required spend or transfer and you will see them on your monthly statement.

7. Points are redeemed automatically as John Lewis & Waitrose gift vouchers in February, June and October each year (where the points balance is at least 500 points).

General terms

9. The Offer may be withdrawn without notice. Any application we receive after we have withdrawn the Offer will not qualify for the Offer.

10. The Offer is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

11. Applicants for the Partnership Card must be UK residents (excluding the Channel Islands), aged 18 or over, and have a personal income of more than £6,750 a year. Credit subject to status. Full terms and conditions for the Partnership Card can be found at johnlewisfinance.com/card.

4. John Lewis Insurance including Home, Car, Pet, Wedding and Travel will continue to earn 2 points per £1 during this offer.

5. Where orders for goods are placed outside of the promotional period, then Double Points will not be applied, including where the goods are delivered during the promotional period.

6. Customers can earn double points on online orders, placed during the promotional period, where the dispatch, delivery or collection is after the 27 March 2018.

7. Where customers place an order during the promotional weekend and subsequently make a change to their order before 10 April, Double Points will apply to the amended order value. Otherwise Double Points will be applied to the original order value.

8. 2 points per £1 will be deducted from customer’s accrued points for any items, purchased during the promotional weekend in store and online, that are subsequently returned and where a customer receives a refund.

9. Customers will have 1 point per £1 for all John Lewis in store and online transactions applied to their next statement as per the card terms and conditions.

10. The second (double) promotional point will be applied in time for customers May 2018 statement. The bonus points will be included in customers June 2018 voucher issuance.

11. Where a customer feels that the correct points have not been applied to their May 2018 statement, customer to contact Partnership Card Customer Services on 0845 300 3833.

1. The Prize Draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding residents of Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, holding a John Lewis partnership card excluding employees of the John Lewis Finance, their dependants or their agents or anyone else professionally connected with this prize draw.

2. Personal data, such as: first name, surname, email address and phone number, is only processed for the purposes of participating in the Promotion, notifying the winners and delivering the prizes. Personal data is not shared with third parties except for the above purposes with Mastercard's service providers Big Group and Octagon, in accordance with applicable law.

3. Entry to the Prize Draw is by registering your interest on the link in this email and making a purchase in John Lewis or Waitrose by 17 June 2018. Every transaction in John Lewis, Waitrose or anywhere you earn 1 point per £1 between 18 May and 17 June 2018 will count as 1 entry to the prize draw.

4. There will be 1 Winner selected at random at the end of the Prize Draw Period. The Winner will be picked at random by an independent party. The winner and their guest will enjoy a bespoke package, including four nights luxury hotel accommodation, £1000 John Lewis Edinburgh shopping experience, travel to and from Edinburgh and two days watching the 147th Open from the Mastercard Patron’s Pavilion with canapé and champagne reception, as well as dinner on all nights.

5. Prize packages (and associated tickets) are personal to the winner(s) and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any tickets and/or part of any of the prize packages is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel tickets and withdraw or make void any and all prize elements if this term is not complied with.

6. Ticket holders may be asked to present valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) and/or other forms of identification (such as a debit or credit card) upon entry to the Event to ensure that the ticket holder is the same as the person named on (or allocated to) their ticket.

7. It is a condition of entry that winner and their guests agree to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion without further recompense.

8. Winner and their guests acknowledge and agree that they are subject to the full terms and conditions of the Open (Event).

9. The result of the Prize Draw is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. The winner and their guest must be aged 18 or over.

11. The Prize Draw will take place within 1 day of the end of the Prize Draw Period. The Winner will be notified by telephone or email by the 1st July following the end of the Prize Draw Period.

12. In the event that any Winner refuses acceptance of the Prize or, for whatever reason, cannot accept the Prize, or if the Promoter is unable to contact the Winner, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the Prize and award it to an alternative Winner.

13. The Prize is as stated, it is non-transferable.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this Prize Draw in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical reasons outside its control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

15. The Winner may be required to participate in related publicity without further recompense. Each Winner agrees that their name and county of residence can be published by the Promoter. Each Winner can refuse to participate in the publicity associated with this Prize Draw by refusing the Prize.

16. This Prize Draw and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
