Qualifying criteria for the £20 Offer (2,000 points)

To qualify for the £20 Offer (2,000 bonus points), you must:

The 149th Open ™ - Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1.The Prize Draw is open to Partnership Card account holders, excluding employees of John Lewis Finance and John Lewis Financial Services Limited, their dependants, agents or anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw. Entrants must be UK resident (excluding residents of Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man) and aged 18 or over. These Prize Draw Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the Partnership Card Terms and Conditions if you are eligible for entry to the draw.


2. Registration for the Prize Draw is via the link in official John Lewis Finance emails associated with the draw or online at www.johnlewisfinance.com/cardspecialoffers between 18th May and 18th June 2021 (the Promotional Period). Following successful registration, there will be one automatic entry to the draw for every transaction made during the Promotional Period using your Partnership Card in John Lewis, Waitrose or anywhere else you can earn 1.25 points per £1 (see johnlewisfinance.com/cardpoints for further details and exclusions).


3. There will be two winners (each, the Winner) selected at random by an independent party at the end of the Promotional Period.


4. Each Winner will be entitled to a prize package (the Prize) for two people (the Winner and their guest) consisting of:

• Return transport from one UK address to Royal St George’s, Kent

• Two night stay in luxury hotel with breakfast

• Dinner on both evenings

• Two tickets to the 149th Open on 16th July 2021 (the Event)

5. The Prize package does not include any travel-related or personal expenses (such as any applicable taxes, including any personal tax that may be levied on the Winner or their guest with respect to receipt of the Prize), other than those detailed above as forming part of the Prize. It is the Winner’s responsibility to ensure adequate travel and accident insurance cover is in place for them and their guest and proof of cover may be requested prior to departure.


6. The Prize package (and associated tickets) is personal to the Winner and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any tickets and/or part of the Prize package is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel tickets and withdraw or make void any and all Prize elements if this term is not complied with.


7. Should the Winner be unable to attend the Event due to contracting Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Winner should notify the Promoter at the earliest opportunity. Subject to provision of prior notice and such evidence as the Promoter may request, or in the case of the Event being cancelled due to Coronavirus-related restrictions, the Winner’s Prize may be transferred to the 150th Open to take place in St Andrews in 2022. This will be at the Promoter’s discretion and subject to availability of tickets to that event, and to the Promoter identifying suitable alternatives for other elements of the Prize package including transport and accommodation.


8. Personal data may be passed to selected third parties only insofar as is required for fulfilment, delivery and arrangement of the Prize. Personal data will be shared for these purposes with Mastercard’s service provider, The Big Group Limited (Big Group).


9. The Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone by 23rd June 2021 and will have until 27th June 2021 to accept the Prize in writing i.e. reply to the e-mail and adhere to these terms and conditions.


10. The Winner and their guest must be aged 18 or over. For security reasons, the Winner and their guest will be asked to confirm their date and place of birth before tickets to the Event are issued.


11. The result of the Prize Draw is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the draw.


12. In the event the Winner refuses acceptance of the Prize, or cannot accept the Prize for any reason, or does not reply to the email notifying them of the Prize by 27th June 2021 and/or Big Group is unable to contact them following reasonable attempts, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the Prize and award it to an alternative Winner.


13. The Prize is as stated, it is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered.


14. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend the Prize Draw in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical reasons outside its control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.


15. The Winner and their guest may be asked to take part in further publicity relating to the Prize Draw, and it is a condition of entry that they do so without further recompense. The Winner can refuse to participate in related publicity by refusing the Prize. The Winner’s name and county of residence may be made available on request, provided the Winner does not object.


16. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for accommodation or transport being unavailable, withdrawn or amended. Should this occur, the Promoter will endeavour to find a suitable alternative.


17. All travel, accommodation and other services provided to the Winner and their guest will be provided subject to the terms and conditions of each such provider. The Promoter will not have any liability in relation to this, and any dispute arising from travel, accommodation and/or other services must be taken up with the relevant provider.


18. The Winner and their guest take part in the Prize at their own risk and to the fullest extent allowed by law; the Promoter accepts no liability with regard to such Prize whatsoever. The Promoter will have no liability in relation to the conduct of the Winner or their guest, nor in connection with any circumstances outside their control with respect to the Prize.


19. In the event that the Event is rescheduled to a later date then the Promoter will notify the Winner with as much notice as possible. In the event of the Prize being unavailable the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for one of equal or greater value. Any substitution will be within the entire discretion of the Promoter. In the event the Winner does not accept the substitution they will forfeit their right to the Prize.


20. Ticket holders may be asked to present valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) and/or other forms of identification (such as a debit or credit card) upon entry to the Event to ensure that the ticket holder is the same as the person named on (or allocated to) their ticket.

22. The Promoter and the Event organiser (The R&A) reserve the right to remove the Winner and/or guest if they are not acting in adherence with the ticket terms and conditions.

1. These Offer Terms and Conditions (the “Offer Terms”) are an agreement between you and us and apply when you apply for a Partnership Card (the “Card”). They apply in addition to and should be read together with the Partnership Card Terms and Conditions and Reward Programme Rules. In the event of any conflict, these Offer Terms will apply.

2. In these Offer Terms, “we” or “us” means John Lewis Financial Services Limited, 8 Canada Square, London, E14 5HQ.

The Offer Period
3. The Offer Period is between 16 June 2021 and 15 August 2021. Any applications received after this date will not qualify for the Offer.

4. The Offer may be withdrawn without notice. Any applications received after we have withdrawn the Offer will not qualify for the Offer.

Qualifying criteria for the Offer
5. To qualify for 2,500 bonus points you must:

  • Apply for a Partnership Card using the promotion code “MYJL25” no later than 15 August 2021, and be accepted;
  • and Spend a minimum of £250 on the Card in John Lewis & Partners or Waitrose & Partners within 90 days of account opening;
  • and Not be an existing Partnership Card holder and haven’t held a Partnership Card within the six months prior to your application.


6. Purchases subsequently refunded, cash withdrawals or cash related payments, interest, fees and charges will not count towards the £250 qualifying spend for the purposes of the Offer.

Bonus Points
7. If you qualify for the Offer, you will be entitled to receive 2,500 bonus points, which will be redeemed as vouchers to the value of £25. The points will be awarded to your account within two months of you making the required spend and you will see them on your monthly statement.

8. Points are redeemed automatically as John Lewis & Waitrose gift vouchers in February, June and October each year (where the points balance is at least 500 points).

9. Points and gift vouchers are subject to the Partnership Card Reward Programme.

10. The Offer is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
