Here’s all you need to do to claim your £20 gift card for both of you. Simply…

1) Set up your account quoting ‘Refer a Friend’ in the ‘How did you hear about us?’ section.

2) Email us at with the full name and email address of the friend that referred you.

3) Transfer a total of £3,000 in international payments at our bank-beating rates, and we’ll automatically send both you and the friend that referred you a £20 gift card.

Terms and Conditions

1. To qualify for the £20 John Lewis Partnership Gift Card, the referred client must register with International Payments at John Lewis Finance, quoting ‘Refer A Friend’ in the ‘How did you hear about us?’ section.

2. Once registered, the referred client should send an email to confirming the details of who it was that introduced them to the service.

3. The referred client will receive a £20 gift card once they have made payments of £3,000 (or currency equivalent) or more (in any number of individual transfers). A £20 gift card will also be sent to the friend that made the introduction.

4. Once a total payment value of £3,000 (or currency equivalent) has been completed, the £20 John Lewis Partnership gift cards will be sent out within 60 days.

5. The John Lewis Partnership gift card can be redeemed in John Lewis and Waitrose shops. It can also be used to purchase food and drink in John Lewis and Waitrose catering units (excludes third-party outlets in John Lewis shops), and for goods over the telephone or online at or as part or full payment. 6. International Payments at John Lewis Finance reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this offer in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its control, with no liability whatsoever to any entrants or third parties.

7. Offer not open to employees of John Lewis Partnership. Self-referrals from different emails addresses will be rejected. International Payments at John Lewis Finance reserves the right to refuse to issue gift cards if they feel they have a valid reason to do so.

8. Maximum one £20 gift card per referred client. There is no limit to the number of gift cards that can be earned for referring new clients to Internatinal Payments, subject to these terms and conditions.

We won’t charge you a fee for any transfer. Charges may occasionally be applied by a third party bank when transferring the funds to International Payments at John Lewis Finance or before the funds arrive in the recipient's account. A minimum transfer value of £100 or currency equivalent applies.

If you wish to transfer less than £100, please use our Western Union service which is available in all our in-store Bureau de change desks nationwide. Fees apply.
