What is cyber insurance?

Cyber insurance gives you extra protection online. It covers many common scenarios, from accidentally downloading a virus to having your telephone hacked. Cyber crime is on the rise with 1 in 5 people experiencing cyber fraud every year. It’s thought around half of cyber attacks in the UK involve phishing, often via email or social media.

With John Lewis’ cyber insurance, we provide expert support if you experience any common cyber crimes. We are on hand to help restore your home systems quickly, remove any viruses and take care of your recovery costs.

Our cyber insurance add-on also gives parents peace of mind when children are playing and learning on their devices. You’ll be covered if one of your children accidentally downloads malware, for example - which is more common than you might think.
