Introducing NewDay

What does this mean for me as an existing customer?

To continue to collect reward points and earn gift vouchers exactly as you do now, you’ll need to apply for a new Partnership Card. Scroll down for a timeline of what’s going to happen, what you need to do, and when you’ll need to do it. Here’s what you need to know before you apply:

To apply you need to be an existing Partnership Card customer aged 18 or over and a UK resident

You’ll need your Unique Reference Code, which you can find displayed on the email or letter we’ve sent you about applying for your new Partnership Card

You can still apply for the new Partnership Card even if you have not received your invitation with the Unique Reference Code. In that case we will just need a few more details to get you going

We may need to text or call you with a one-time passcode, so keep your mobile phone nearby during the application process

For security reasons we may also ask you to confirm the credit limit on your existing Partnership Card, so please check that before you start the application

What will happen to my existing Partnership Card?

You will no longer be able to spend on your card from 6pm on 31 October, but you will need to keep making at least your minimum payment each month until your balance reaches zero. Zero balance accounts will automatically start being closed from 1 November.

Why should I apply for the new Partnership Card?

If you apply and are accepted, for the first 90 days you will be eligible to earn triple reward points on eligible purchases when shopping at John Lewis and Waitrose.

If you have a balance on your previous Partnership Card or elsewhere, you could save money by consolidating these into your new Partnership Card with 0% interest for six months on balance transfers.

What’s more, with the new John Lewis Credit Card app you can start shopping with your card as soon as it’s approved: no need to wait for the card to arrive in the post.

Credit subject to status. T&Cs apply.
